About Pain

About Pain is a series of short texts and illustrated zines exploring subtle forms of discomfort in everyday life, particularly the quiet unease and emotional weight often experienced by women.

The project begins from personal experience and expands through collecting stories of pain from others. Moments of sudden silence, exhaustion, the urge to cry or scream, or the quiet question of “Am I being too sensitive” all become part of the work.

These pains may not appear dramatic and are often easily diminished, yet they remain real and stubbornly present, living quietly alongside many of us for a very long time. Through the intimate and portable format of zines, the project attempts to create a space where pain can be seen and recognised.

On The Road:
when the world leaves you a message

After moving to London, I spent a lot of time walking.

While walking, I was always distracted: listening to music, podcasts, looking everywhere except straight ahead. The zine began from these long walks and the strange, small things accidentally found along the way.

On the Road: When the World Leaves You a Message collects moments, objects, and encounters from the street, treating them as quiet messages left behind by the world. Moving between humour, loneliness, and tenderness, the work reflects on how small acts of attention can become a way of surviving emotionally difficult periods. This is an ongoing project started from 2023. It explores the unexpected kindness that can still be found in everyday life, even during moments of sadness, uncertainty, and feeling lost.
